چکیده

The current era shows that innovation and reuse of industrial by-products are necessary to protect the environment sustainable development. production cement highly harms in terms CO2 emissions. Cement contributes nearly 5.0% global pollution is induced by present study role supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) construction industries. two different SCMs, namely cinder processed granulated ground blast furnace slag (GGBS), were used replace cement. Different blends prepared replacing ordinary Portland (OPC) with up 70% intervals 10% 50% GGBS at 5% intervals. tests conducted like specific gravity, setting time, fineness, compressive strength ensure pozzolanic reactivity SCMs. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) test results showed available oxides calcium, silica, aluminum, iron suitable for GGBS. In addition these, find out possible optimum among various blends, techniques order performance similarity ideal solution method was adopted. Cost analysis overall cost material can be reduced 16%. Energy could reduce energy consumption 24.56% 3.6%, respectively.

Sustainable construction: composite use of tyres and ash in concrete.

An investigation was carried out to establish the physical, mechanical and chemical characteristics of a non-standard (unprocessed) pulverised fuel ash (PFA) and waste tyres from a former landfill site at the Power Station Hill near Church Village, South Wales, United Kingdom. Investigations are on-going to establish the suitability of the fly ash and/or tyres in road construction (embankment a...

Sustainable Concrete with Industrial and Post-Consumer By-Products

Concrete is a long-lasting and less energy consuming construction material than steel and Aluminum. However, the concrete industry is the single largest consumer of natural resources. Several places around the world are facing faster rates of depletion of the resources needed for the manufacturing of portland cement, mining of aggregates, and water for making concrete. Each one of these materia...

Environmental-friendly durable concrete made with recycled materials for sustainable concrete construction

Concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials in the world. However, the production of portland cement, an essential constituent of concrete, leads to the release of significant amount of CO2, a greenhouse gas; one ton of portland cement clinker production is said to creates approximately one ton of CO2 and other greenhouse gases (GHGs). Environmental issues are playing an impo...
